Fun with Galleries
Your web galleries don't have to look boring or uniform. You can use the dozens of settings provided in the steps of this wizard to set the look of the galleries you generate. Some can be set separately for thumbnails pages and details pages; others are global.
Customizable Colors
For all standard templates, you can set the colors for individual parts of the page, to help your Web galleries look as similar as possible to the rest of your site. Advanced users can also influence the way a template looks by editing its CSS files.
Compression of JPEG images
The JPEG format’s lossy compression reduces image quality as it reduces file size. File size affects the time needed for a Web browser to display each picture in your gallery. But again, too much compression will mean low-quality pictures. Zoner Web Gallery thus lets you set compression levels for images, including separate levels for thumbnails and full-size images.
Use Photo Information (EXIF) for Your Headers and Captions
You can use both ordinary (unchanging) text and “variable” text on your gallery pages. The latter is replaced with EXIF information from your photos before printing. Variable text is made up of a series of placeholders. Different placeholders represent (are filled in with) different aspects of a photo’s picture information.
Custom Web Gallery Templates
Advanced users will appreciate the fact that they can modify the standard web gallery templates. Do note, however, that creating new templates demands some knowledge of HTML and CSS. Documentation exists for Zoner’s web gallery templates and can be sent on request.
